Create an Agent Role and User
Users are individuals with access to the Bright Pattern system. Roles are a combination of privileges that allow a user to access specific functionality and define work permissions within the Bright Pattern Contact Center (BPCC). Grouping individual users into roles is necessary for operations organization.
Workflow
- Create an Agent role
- Create a user account
- Assign the user to Agent role
Steps
Follow these steps to create a role, a user account, and assign the user to the role:
Create an Agent Role
1. In the BPCC Configuration tab, select Users & Teams >> Roles and choose the "Add role" button in the bottom center pane.
2. In the "Name" text field, type "Agent" and then make appropriate privilege selections for the role using this reference guide.
3. Select "Apply."
Create a User Account
1. Select Users & Teams >> Users and choose the "+" box in the bottom center pane.
2. Fill out the information using this reference guide and select "Apply."
Assign the User to the Agent Role
Option One: Individually Assign Users from the Individual User Selection
1. Select a specific agent from the Users & Teams >> Users list and choose the "Roles" tab in the right pane.
2. Check the "Agent" checkbox to assign the individual agent the Agent role and select "Apply."
Option Two: Assign Users from the Roles Selection
1. Select Users & Teams >> Roles and choose the previously created "Agent" role in the center pane, select the "Users" tab in the right pane.
2. Select the "Assign users" button in the bottom right pane. A user selection overlay will appear.
3. Choose which users to assign to the Agent role in the left pane by selecting ">" and clicking "Apply." Selecting "<" will move the user back to the unassigned user list. Choosing ">>" will select the entire group of users and assign them the role.
